Fashion and Gender

As seasons change from one to the next some students notice the weather and dress accordingly in a rather fashionable manner, while other students simply dress accordingly. Now that the winter has brought in cold winds, ice storms, and huge amounts of snow, students can be seen treading to their classes in anything from Ralph Lauren jeans and pea coats to Joe Boxer flannel pajamas and bubble coats.

The difference between most of these students is gender. When asked around most women and men agreed that women take more pride in their appearance than men. But why? Is comfort for men only found in pajama pants? One man said that he is just not that in to fashion, but he is sure he will get the hang of it when he graduates. The woman that he was with said she doesn’t understand his logic, and she believes that men are just lazy.

As most women would agree men just do not want to take the time out at night or in the morning to pick a decent outfit. Instead of choosing a nice looking outfit, they choose to roll out of bed and stroll to their classes.

Uh oh... This is bad because I'm one of those people who just dresses accordingly. Great start! I'm looking forward to the rest of this :)

You have a good point. Men never seem to care about what they wear... as long as its clean, comfortable, and it fits. (Some days, however, that's the case with me.) Women also have a lot more to choose from, though. We have dresses, skirts, jeans, shorts, jean shorts, sweatpants, tank tops, t-shirts, sweaters, blouses...well, you get the point. :) I like your topic!

Being a man I would have to agree with your blog. At least when it comes to me that is the case.

I don't really think I have ever worn pajama pants. Unless I have to dress up it is going to be jeans, t-shirt and boots for me usually.
