Shoes!!!

Like most women I love shoes, it should be a profession to just buy shoes. I love pumps, high heels, flats, baby dolls, sneakers, boots, I mean any kind of shoe there is I probably own some rendition of it. Its like cocaine to an addict... I am hooked!

Although I do love shoes, and trust me I do love shoes, there is so much that I don't understand about people and their shoes (I too am guilty)... like why do people spend so much money on their shoes to ruin them or why buy shoes for $300 dollars when the same pair is available at the local Macy's for $50. I always tell people it's the quality that makes me buy the more expensive brand when for the most part it's the brand that makes me buy the most expensive pair.

So then the real question is do I really love shoes as much as I say I do if I only buy the ones that are name brand???

DUH!!!! I LOVE SHOES!!

Dress accordingly!

Bundled tightly in my plaid Ralph Lauren scarf, Kenneth Cole pea coat and favorite pair of True religion jeans I walked through the treacherous streets of Missouri Western. Always being aware of my surroundings I couldn't help but to notice the amazing amounts of snow on the ground and in great contrast to the snow a faded Mo-West t-shirt and pair of shorts that were on a young man's body. I will never fully understand the logic that some people have behind what they wear.

I have always been told-even by college professors-to dress accordingly. It baffles me as to why then d some students dress the same everywhere they go. I do admit I may have just caught the gentleman on a bad day, but not everyone has bad day, some have bad day, weeks, and months even. I just think that as college students we should have a least one day out of the week where it's mandatory for us to dress accordingly.

Fashion and Gender

As seasons change from one to the next some students notice the weather and dress accordingly in a rather fashionable manner, while other students simply dress accordingly. Now that the winter has brought in cold winds, ice storms, and huge amounts of snow, students can be seen treading to their classes in anything from Ralph Lauren jeans and pea coats to Joe Boxer flannel pajamas and bubble coats.

The difference between most of these students is gender. When asked around most women and men agreed that women take more pride in their appearance than men. But why? Is comfort for men only found in pajama pants? One man said that he is just not that in to fashion, but he is sure he will get the hang of it when he graduates. The woman that he was with said she doesn’t understand his logic, and she believes that men are just lazy.

As most women would agree men just do not want to take the time out at night or in the morning to pick a decent outfit. Instead of choosing a nice looking outfit, they choose to roll out of bed and stroll to their classes.
